IFED appoints new boss

According to Post Online, DCI Dave Wood has been replaced as the head of the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) after almost three and a half years in the role

DCI Wood has been promoted and will be replaced by DCI Angie Rogers, Post Online revealed.

His departure comes a little over a month after the City of London Police unit celebrated the arrest of its 1000th fraud suspect.

IFED, which was officially launched in 2012, is a specialist police unit funded by the Association of British Insurers' members. In March last year the ABI agreed to invest £11.7m in IFED over three years.
