About the Yorkshire IAEA

The Leeds centre underwent a major transformation in 2010; it was in danger of closing at the start of the year but we have managed to turn it around to the point where it is now one of the most popular and well supported IAEA centres in the UK. Since then we have built upon our successes.

We have a new purpose built lecture venue close to junction 25 on the M62 which is easily accessible from across the region and we are now attracting delegates from all over the North of England as well as the Midlands and the North East, plus one regular who travels all the way from Northampton!

It's your region!

This is your region and for it to flourish it needs you, the members, to get involved.

Without the committee there would be no lecture programme.

Why not stand for the committee at the AGM? It places minimal demands on your time (meeting only four times annually), and will give you a real sense of achievement as well as contributing valuable hours towards your CPD requirement. It is also a great addition to your CV.

You can also take the opportunity to represent the region at national meetings, having real input into how the Institute is run.
