The Institute was founded in London in 1932 and the Scottish Centre as it was then known was formed in 1935.

It operated over the next 21 years and then ceased, however, in 1967 in Edinburgh, it was re-established as the Scottish Region and has successfully functioned ever since maintaining a close contact with Headquarters.

The local committee assembles a CPD related programme consisting of lectures and site visits to premises associated with the nature of our work. The constant aim is to improve standards and obtain valued knowledge through invited experts. Our AGM takes place in February and our annual dinner, in May. The national President of the Institute is always invited to the dinner and in most cases, is able to attend.

Our regular venue for meetings is Inchyra Grange Hotel, Polmont FK20 OYB at 7.00pm. Look out for details in The Assessor and on our webpage. All members whether long established, recently joined or retired are welcome to attend. Please come along and support the Region.
