Bodyshops set to profit from non-insurance jobs

The launch of a new app from Audatex promises to help bodyshops boost revenue on the vehicle repairs customers elect to do privately. Celebrating the 3 October launch, AudaLite members gain a month’s free trial

AudaLite has been created directly in response to the reduction in the number of motor insurance claim repairs now being conducted by bodyshops. Conversely, this provides a very real potential for bodyshops to cash in on smaller/non-insurance claim related jobs, with AudaLite providing a robust solution to aid bodyshops in rapidly quoting for these retail jobs.

The new iPad app from Audatex, not only enables bodyshops to provide quick and accurate quotes for light work, but makes importing data into existing Bodyshop Management Systems easy and keeps track of smaller jobs traditionally difficult to keep an eye on - all with the a focus enhancing profitability.

‘Ease of use’ has been central to its design. Indeed, AudaLite is so intuitive that non-qualified operators can fully maximise its touch screen and swipe functionality. Estimate reports can be created in a variety of formats, and repairers can add parts and additional items, crucial in enhancing up-sell opportunities. Customer notes, including an address book for customer details with a postcode search facility can even be added. members can create multiple price menus, as well as facilitating panel price adjustments with registration/VIN search capabilities, benefit from fast VRM lookup and the annotation of images as well as email estimates and reports to customers, including selected images, all of which allows repairers to quote on the move.

Paul Sykes, managing director for Audatex, said, ‘AudaLite gives bodyshops a truly functional tool to help them upsell light, retail work, including bumps and scuffs or anything customers may not want to claim against their insurance for. This in turn will boost business performance and increase profit margins.’

AudaLite allows bodyshops and dealers to quote for repairs at the side of the vehicle, using the iPad. The customer benefits from a swift, transparent experience, delivering with a quote on the spot, putting bodyshops firmly in control of winning business.

Paul Sykes concluded, ‘These jobs come directly from private customers, as opposed to third parties, such as insurers, so it’s important that bodyshops present a professional and efficient image to not only encourage return business but boost its reputation with prospective customers.

‘Fundamentally, this exciting new app allows repairers to easily manage their costs and the profitability of a job, by allowing them to create accurate assessments and quotes for work in a professional manner. AudaLite is part of our commitment to meeting the needs of our customers, as we continue to develop quality products designed specifically for bodyshop market to exploit new business opportunities with a clear return on investment.’
