AI gets a new face
Family-run dealership Carbase has unveiled an innovative use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology at its Bristol showroom – an interactive robot that can predict a customer's next car.
After months of development with technology partner Cognitive Services, the South West used car dealership has introduced Rob-Bot, which uses facial recognition and data analytics to give customers a list of makes and models it calculates will be exactly what they're looking for in a new used vehicle. Customers simply stand in front of Rob-Bot to receive a rundown of vehicle recommendations.
Originally built for the Carbase Facebook Messenger app, Rob-Bot has been able to assist the company's contact centre with volumes of customer enquiries. He can answer simple questions and provide multiple choice options. In its new guise, Rob-Bot is a fun robot character designed to entertain customers and help them narrow down their options as they shop for a new vehicle.
Carbase's head of marketing and digital, Alex Jones said, 'We believe buying a used car should be an exciting and enjoyable experience, which is why we've added Rob-Bot to our expert team. Our top priority is to help customers with their search to find their next car, and to have fun whilst doing so. The Rob-Bot provides just this.'
