Two new appointments to FISITA's board

FISITA, the international membership organisation for the automotive and mobility systems engineering profession, announced two new appointments to the board of FISITA (UK) Ltd, the advisory body which oversees FISITA's activities worldwide.

Katie Milbourn joins as a non-executive director and brings a wealth of experience in human resources to the Board. Katie is head of human resources at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd (SMMT - the organisation representing the UK automotive industry), delivering leadership and taking overall responsibility for the Society's group HR function, supporting around 150 colleagues.

Katie said, 'I'm delighted to join FISITA at this pivotal moment for the automotive industry. With advances in electrification, digitalisation and AI, the sector is undergoing huge transformation, in turn requiring a transformation of skills. I'm pleased to be part of FISITA's drive to help keep automotive engineering professionals at the cutting edge of technological development.'

Richard Gotch also joins as a non-executive director and brings a wealth of experience in marketing and communications to the board. Richard has more than 20 years' experience working with automotive technology businesses from innovation start-ups to global Tier 1s and is the founder of Market Engineering and its managing director until its acquisition by Newspress.
