If at the time of the examination, a candidate considers there are circumstances that need to be taken into account in assessing their performance, they should speak to the invigilator immediately to request that an incident report form is completed.

The special circumstances considered are limited to temporary illness, injury or other event outside of a candidates control, the scenarios acceptable for special consideration include:

  • An illness or a special need at the time of the examination (eg vomiting or fainting);
  • An irregularity relating to the examination environment (eg excessive noise or disruption).

A candidate who is unwell before attending the exam should consider postponing or cancelling their exam entry. In these circumstances refer to the cancellation policy.

The candidate must apply for special consideration by email within 5 days of the examination/assessment.
