The latest collision repair industry analysis report from CAPS, for the week ending 12 June, shows that unique claims have edged up by a further 4% from the previous week's 14% rise.
For the same one-week period, supply chain transmissions (covering parts, mobility, systems) also increased by 4%. The new figures are 69% for unique claims and 63% for supply chain transmissions, compared to pre-lockdown totals.
The weekly report from CAPS (the Common Automotive Platform Standard) looks at the level of claims and supply chain transmissions exchanged across its platform, which includes more than 1,200 registered bodyshops.
Across the regions, indications show a growth in unique claims (from week ending 5 June) - Republic of Ireland +35.1%, Greater London +26.6% and East of England +10.5%. There has been a decline in Wales -5.5%, -5.4% South West and West Midlands -4.4%.
