The IAEA has been involved with the competition since the early days when the vehicles were on site at the event, taking the lead role in sourcing suitable vehicle and setting benchmarks, as well as devising and assessing all stages of the competition.

SCHEDULE
06/08/21 - Registration closes
Round 1
An online assessment of general industry knowledge relevant to the role of a VDA. The assessment is made up of multiple choice and multiple response questions. The assessment can be completed at any time during the dates below and will take no longer than 45 minutes.
09/08/21 - Online assessments open
20/08/21 - Online assessments close
Round 2
An online interview with a panel of two IAEA representatives. The interview will last 45 minutes and will assess the same syllabus as the online assessment providing applicants with the opportunity to demonstrate a more comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the subject matter.
The interviews will take place online during this week starting 6th September.
Final round
An online practical assessment. The assessment will be carried out remotely/desktop and will be invigilated via Teams over the course of day. The practical assessment has four sections:
- Two assessments carried out using a choice of estimating software (Audatex or GT Motive)
- One assessment using Thatcham times.
- One assessment prepared without the assistance of any software (fingers and thumbs)
The online practical assessment with take place during the week starting 13th September.
