The IAEA 90th Anniversary Event scheduled to take place Saturday 17th September has been postponed
The nation is in mourning following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and while it is regrettable that the event will not proceed as planned, the IAEA Team feel that as a mark of respect for the passing of Her Majesty and to stand in solidarity with members across the country in this period of mourning it is fit and proper that we should postpone the IAEA 90th Anniversary Event scheduled to take place Saturday 17th September 2022.
This decision is not something that was taken lightly, and while there is no obligation on organisations to cancel events, there was a consensus that this is the right thing to do in the circumstances.
The IAEA Team is working with the Crown Plaza, Stratford-upon-Avon and other stakeholders to find an alternative date which will be announced shortly. The event will now go ahead in early 2023.
We trust that all those booked to attend will understand and support the decision. The IAEA team are very grateful for the support to date and hope that this will continue for revised date. We will be in touch shortly to advise the revised date.
IAEA passes its heartfelt condolences to the Royal family at this difficult time. We offer our thanks for her devoted years of service and look forward to welcoming King Charles III to the throne.
