Synetiq promotes best practice through FORS accreditation

The bronze accreditation at the business' Winsford site demonstrates its dedication to putting safety first across all of its operations.

FORS is a voluntary accreditation scheme for any business operating a vehicle on public highways, including heavy goods vehicles and vans. Recognising efficient and safe vehicle operators, the new accreditation demonstrates Synetiq's commitment to operating to the highest standards in terms of safety, efficiency and environmental protection.

Mike Griffiths, head of transport at Synetiq said: "We're thrilled to have achieved this accreditation. The training and subsequent certification at our Winsford site has driven more efficiencies across our fleet operations, and it's another demonstration of our commitment to continual improvement for our customers and clients. Working to the FORS standard helps us to ensure we have explored every possible way to lower our emissions and reduce our fleet's carbon footprint."

To become FORS accredited, the business undertook a combination of site-based audits and theory learning, documenting that it adheres to the very highest safety standards, carries out comprehensive risk assessments, records any incidents and carries out extensive driver safety training programs.
