Celebrating E-type's 60th anniversary

Over the weekend of 12 and 13 June at the historic Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb course, E-types of every description will gather to celebrate the E-type's 60th anniversary

Celebrating E-type's 60th anniversary

The event is set to be a remarkable reunion of the three E-types that starred at the Geneva launch in March 1961 – the car that wowed the crowds on the show stand as well as 77 RW and 9600 HP, the Roadster and Coupe that thrilled passengers on the test course outside.

Apart from the first production Roadster, Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust will also present WHP 205J, one of the earliest V12s, and HDU 55N, the very last E-type off the production line.

E-types of the celebrity sort will include FPL 660C, the Ex-Denis Jenkinson E-type; HMT 598B, aka The Dave Clark Five album cover car; and 848 CRY, the beautiful red survivor from The Italian Job.

With E-types of absolutely every persuasion on site, fans of this 1960's icon will not be disappointed. As they say though, that's not all! Special guests include that other motoring icon of the 1960s, the Mini. The event reunites John Fitzpatrick and the Broadspeed Mini he campaigned in the early '60s.

The action-packed 1960s-themed weekend will feature everything from exciting racing action, star cars, demonstrations and celebrity appearances, to live music, op art, films, fashion and more!

There will also be more than 50 specialist exhibitors in the E-type 60 Shopping Village, providing a broad array of products and services.

Advance tickets are £22 each, £25 on the gate. Children under 16 years enter for free.
